AJPM Source and Process Check

Post by buddtholomew »

I would like to exchange approximately 50K-GLD held at Vanguard for American Eagle physical bullion at AJPM. Can someone walk me through the most efficient, secure and private way of initiating this transaction? Is wire transfer an available option through VG and is there anything else I should be aware of when transacting in these amounts (tax wise or other)?

Appreciate the guidance for a newbie finally purchasing physical.

I think the first step is to contact AJPM and ask what forms of tender they will accept for bullion. Once you have that down you will have a much better idea of how to proceed.

AJPM accepts wire transfers over 15K.

Vanguard should be able to handle that.
