A comparison of the 60/40 plan with HBPP

Post by DragonJoey3 »

I've done a rough comparison of the 60/40 boglehead plan with the HBPP, and I thought I would just share the results here.  Anyone who wants more in depth research let me know and I can try to flesh it out without assuming as much (this particular comparison made quite a few assumptions).

Here is the data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... sp=sharing

You're welcome to take a look and share your thoughts.

How about 70% gold, 30% Swiss francs?

A column showing the divergence for each year would be useful too. As well as a graph of the balances, and also one showing the divergences.
Human behavior is economic behavior. The particulars may vary, but competition for limited resources remains a constant.
