India's love affair with gold

Post by Gumby »

A very interesting look at the culture of Gold in India...

60 Minutes: India's love affair with gold

I knew the people of India liked Gold, but I had no idea it ran so deep in their veins.

Wow.  I don't know if I have ever seen that much bling.  It makes me wonder if Peter Schiff is part Indian.

Trumpism is not a philosophy or a movement. It's a cult.

That was a great piece- thanks for posting!

I've always felt that necklaces -- do I dare say this on Valentine's Day? -- are a waste of gold that could have been made into coins or ingots.
The image that will probably stick with me is that of the guy stirring that huge pot with his bare hand. :-)
And those two beautiful women with the perfect smiles.

According to the piece it's mostly in *other* countries' veins, thus they have to import it. ;-)
