How to calculate value of individual bonds for rebalancing?
So let's say I decide to buy and hold individual bonds rather than a bond fund. For the purpose of determining whether I've hit a rebalance band, how do I calculate the value of these individually-held bonds? Just their face values added together? Or should I instead add together their individual prices if sold in the secondary market?
Human behavior is economic behavior. The particulars may vary, but competition for limited resources remains a constant.

I use market value. There is an explanation in one of the threads (I'll post it if I find it) on how to use Google Docs to pull this data from Fidelity using the CUSIP number of the bond. This seems to be the best way to go about it.
