"Come Back, Come Back Sweet Papa"

Post by buddtholomew »

Before I add this lyric to my signature line, does anyone know the origin? I re-listen to HB's pod-casts regularly and often hear him close out the show with these words.

I'm pretty sure that if you listen to the song he plays to introduce the show, someone says this at the end of it.
"All men's miseries derive from not being able to sit in a quiet room alone."

The version Harry uses was done by Bob Crosby's band (Bing's brother).  Coincidentally, Bing's real name was Harry :)
