the lt treasury market price has risen a few percent since my purchase, but the bonds haven't kept pace in value as listed in my brokerage account, maybe half at most of those gains being listed on my account values
called them to ask about it
several so called explanations later the most acceptable answer i'm left with is that they are valued based upon whatever was the last transaction for any particular bond's cusip. I haven't been able to look this up to confirm it though and am wondering about this, thinking may be better to use an etf in order to accurately own the lt treasury market value. maybe there are hidden fees but they denied this
I would think individual treasuries being so liquid would buy and sell frequently enough to essentially keep pace with the market
any one have a better explanation or thoughts on this? thanks
my lt treas bonds not appearing to keep pace w/market

What brokerage are you using?
I was pleasantly surprised to see the values update daily on the bonds I hold through Vanguard.
I would imagine the bonds are priced on the current interest rates.
