I think when you have a sport that is heavily full of "thugs" who are sacrificing their bodies for short term gain and fame, what do you expect?  As far as the naked cheating (lying?), should we hold the Patriots to a higher standard than our Presidents?  That said, I have never cared much for those with serious, unrepentant, character flaws - regardless of type of so called "Patriot".  I would put Brady in the same category as Clinton or obama, except Brady is far better at his job than obama.    I am not rooting for the Patriots.

I am not a Patriots fan.

But this latest kerfuffle is BS.  The officials handle the ball on EVERY PLAY.  If there was a significant problem with inflation pressure they should have picked up on it and taken action at that time.  I don't know nothin' about the physics of footballs, but if they were barely within tolerance in a warm locker room when the officials ostensibly checked them, pressure would drop when brought onto a relatively cold field.

Rules are made to be tested.  The Patriots used "tricks" to beat the Ravens.  The Seahawks used "tricks" to beat the Packers.

I will admit that I usually root for New England when the home team isn't doing well. And since I live in Tampa that's more often than not.

I'm not a fan of Seattle because I don't like loud-mouths and trash-talking. I like Russell Wilson but someone should tell him there's no crying in football.

Don't know what to make of deflate-gate. Already one part of the early story has fallen apart - the Colt who supposedly reported the ball was under-inflated when he intercepted the pass now says that is not true, that he just wanted to keep the ball as a souvenir of intercepting Tom Brady and didn't want to give it up. Pretty sick of hearing about it by now and wish they would go back to talking about football. If it keeps up I think I won't even watch the game.
